At Heartful Home, I want everyone to feel welcome, respected and able to access compassionate home organising support. I aim to provide a service that is inclusive, considerate and responsive to people’s individual needs and circumstances.
Equality and respect
I welcome enquiries from people of all backgrounds and aim to treat everyone fairly, with dignity and respect. I do not tolerate discriminatory, harassing or abusive behaviour.
I recognise that people’s circumstances, identities, health, abilities and life experiences can affect the support they need. I will listen to your preferences and do my best to make our work together comfortable and appropriate for you.
Accessibility and reasonable adjustments
If you have a disability, health condition or other access requirement, please let me know if you’re comfortable doing so. We can discuss reasonable adjustments that may help you access my service.
Depending on your needs and what is practical, adjustments might include:
Communicating by email, telephone or video call.
Allowing additional time for discussions and decisions.
Breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps.
Adapting the pace or structure of sessions.
Providing written information in a clear, straightforward format.
Considering mobility, fatigue, sensory needs or other practical requirements when planning sessions.
I will discuss your needs with you and consider what adjustments are reasonable and feasible. If I cannot safely or appropriately meet a particular need within the scope of my service, I will explain this sensitively and, where possible, suggest an alternative source of support.
An approach without judgement
I understand that people’s homes and belongings can be connected to bereavement, health difficulties, major life changes and other personal experiences. I aim to create a supportive environment where you can talk openly without fear of judgement.
I work collaboratively and respect your right to make decisions about your own belongings. I will not pressure you to discard items or work at a pace that feels inappropriate for you.
Heartful Home is a home organising and decluttering service, not a specialist mental health, care, counselling or hoarding treatment service. Where additional support may be beneficial, I may suggest appropriate specialist services.
Accessing my website
I aim to make my website clear and straightforward to use. If you have difficulty accessing information on the website, or would prefer to receive information in another format, please contact me and I will do my best to help.
Feedback and contact
If you have an access requirement, would like to discuss an adjustment, or have a suggestion about how I could make my service more inclusive, please get in touch via the details above.
I welcome feedback and will review this statement periodically as business develops.
